What it is
An adventure and outdoor activity app: discovering walks and activities, booking them, and navigating them on the day. Real-time location and Mapbox handle the navigation, Firebase the backing services, Stripe the booking payments.
Outdoors changes the requirements
An app used on a trail is used where signal is intermittent and the screen is being read in sunlight by someone walking. Location has to keep working through connectivity gaps, and battery cost stops being an abstraction when the phone is also the map for the next four hours.
Engagement
One of two production Flutter apps built on a remote contract for Veda AI, a UK AI company, across architecture, implementation and delivery to both Android and iOS.
