What leading four engineers actually meant here
Four Flutter engineers across several production apps at once. The failure mode of that shape of team is not people working slowly, it is four codebases drifting into four different architectures, each defensible on its own and none of them transferable.
What was put in place
Structured code review, so changes were read by someone other than their author before shipping. Architecture standards written down and agreed rather than assumed, so a developer moving between the apps met the same layering in each. Mentoring for the junior developers, which is what makes a standard hold once the person who wrote it stops watching.
Why it is listed as work
Because it is the part that survives. Individual features from that period shipped and were replaced; the review habit and the architecture the team agreed on outlasted them.
